Introduction

I originally created this as a quick and easy site for a friend who had hired a chateau for his birthday party. We all chipped in with money to make it possible, only costing us about 100 euros/dollars each. Not bad for a week's holiday in a chateau in south-west France. Since the party, I decided to include this here because others might be interested.

 

I first discovered our region, the south-west of France, over 30 years ago as a young man on a motorbike. Whenever possible I return to explore its back roads, its hills and mountains, its wildlife, and its luscious ruby wines.
