Gothic Cathedrals

They are not everybody's cup of tea, but go north to Albi for a day, especially to see the great Gothic Cathedral of St. Cecile, whose nave is 100m long and 30m high (about 325 feet long by 100 feet high).

Others mentioned in the Michelin Green Guide for our region are:

• Cathedral of St-Just in Narbonne,
• Abbey Fontfroide, near Narbonne,
• Cloisters of the Cathedral of Ste-Eulalie and Ste-Julie in Elne (down by the Spanish border) also a Romanesque Cathedral*,
• Les Jacobins of Toulouse,
• Cathedral of St-Etienne in Toulouse.

*There are other Romanesque churches around I think, but I know little about them.
